Hi thanks for letting me join. I have a just bought a CB 650 sohc and would like a bit of help with it as its not running and i would like it to be my main bike.

I'd start a project thread (in the Project Shop section) to show off your progress, but maybe start individual threads (in the SOHC4 Bikes section) as difficult issues are encountered...then continue in your project thread when issues are overcome.

Thanks Alan, I have had the bike for a week now and tried most things to get it going properly. I am not a great mechanic but have a little bit of knowledge but it's got me stumped and I've got myself in a muddle. I will do a post where you said and see what happens.

I've learned enough from this group to know there's always an uncomfortable topic that I won't find the answer to with the search function, and I'll have to ask.

I recommend you read topics of interest in the SOHC4 Bikes section and the project shop, lots of stuff is general to most bikes, but when you find something about a 650 pay attention because there are specific things to each model as well. You'll find a certain camaraderie with other 650 owners too.
