Who is the lucky KO owner ? ..or flipper..?
« on: February 21, 2021, 09:08:12 AM »
Was looking at last sales on eBay last nite..
Came across 3 KO oil tanks... 220 or +, 210.00,  and then one at 60.00 that had only  one bid..  :'(...hmmmm
So I looked  at his other sales , no other bike stuff, except a KO Speedo,, 50 bux one bid :'(  hmmmm
Now the weird thing was there was a KO tach in front of the pic, but the Speedo was behind that in the back ground.. and a K3 tach or speedo.
Neither of which had a broken lenses looked runnable. . He even said I took them off a 69 long ago himself..
And then I noticed ... it was buy it now , as was the oil tank..

And then I noticed,  it was BOTH the SPEEDO and TACH in the auction for to bux.... AND it included the 73 Speedo !
Geez , by now I felt someone got real lucky..

AND - then I click on another pic and see all three had the chrome backs on them , and they looked pretty good..

AND .. then I expand the pic , and look at the drives on the KO guages, and I am not sure but they look sorta fat  but smaller by the threads. . So maybe .... maybe  cast  gearboxes..

 AND. ...FREE SHIPPING
Just when you think there is no cheap parts out there. . Or it's too much work to check eBay a  lot..

Yes some people get good bargains.. I saw a bicycle wheel rim listed as a 7 day auction yesterday, a specific new vintage one that I could use & is worth around £30, and saved it in my list.  Today I see it had ended and the seller had accepted an offer of £2!

Its so easy nowadays to find the value of most anything online I'm surprised he would sell them that cheap if indeed he did. He was smart enough to know that magic word that starts with an S and end in a T and reminds me of a beach  ;)

a few years ago i stumbled across an ebay seller offering a honda "custom paint" tank and side cover set....or so he thought....$500 or best offer. Yep, it was a 450 dragon tank set. So i offered $250...accepted.......it had not been used...
Sold it last year for 10 times the amount. Sometimes you get lucky.......
Actually, i looked for a 450 to put it on, but nothing ever showed up....
