I see an old thread on this but no real conclusion. This is the seal plug at the end of the cross gallery to the countershaft bearing retainer - it seems to get covered by the shifter cover gasket - I did not take one out when I stripped the motor but checking the parts diagram I found it - no longer available of course - make a substitute one? leave it out? whats the verdict?
