do you remember when i was searching for vinyl suppliers?
« on: February 28, 2007, 09:03:57 AM »
i'm trying to find that thread.
i've searched for decal, vinyl, sign shop in both the regular search function and advanced for topic headings only.
i've also gone thru the last 60 PAGES of my own posts to try to find the thread that way.
no luck  :'(
i really hope it didn't get erased.

any help would again be appreciated and if you suggested a link or two maybe you could do it again?

if and when we find the other thread i can merge this w/ it or just remove this entirely

went thru my old harddrive to find an old bookmark and here is one...
http://www.signsupplystore.com/

that is not exactly the one that one of you gave but, the company downsized and only offers metal looking type vinyl now (i called and the woman on the phone said in the next week or so they would be adding more "regular" colors so check back)

'twas the only bookmark i had for vinyl

What are you trying to do?  I have a neighbor across the street that makes signs, cuts his own on his computerized sign making equipment.
What are you looking for?

i just want black vinyl... the link that i gave used to have a great selection.

i want to re-decal my tail section on my 7r... if you look closely you might be able to see the 2 white scratches on the rear tail section on the black decal

You probably want marine vinyl. it is more durable and stretches to fit better.  It also had the cloth like backing our old bikes had. you know the backing you saw when the seat cracked! ;D

i will keep that in mind though as i redo most of my seats... i'll take a pic of elizabeth's vfr seat one of these days to show the results.
i know i do try to get the good stuff when i buy material (w/ the backing you speak of) but, never really asked for marine.
