Thanks John for the inquiry. I am home, surgery at 730am discharged at 230pm. Everything went well, and I am surprised at the pain level, it is much lower than I expected and I am getting around via my lovely walker quite well. I will be relentless on doing the rehab exercises to get up and running again,,,,,,

Good to hear Britman. Is the walker a vintage model? If yes, will there be a restoration build project coming up after it's retired?!!

Like the little Honda project, there have been some setbacks. Just out of the hospital after a three day stay for a serve UTI. The irony of the it all, the knee is great, I was walking without a cane in less than two weeks. The problem came with the knee surgery anesthetic, a spinal block or better known as a epidural, it has a propensity to cause bladder problems in older men, I fell right in line. I have been sporting a catheter for over two weeks now, because in my case the bladder just walked off the job. I will see a urologist this week, and in all probability will be looking at some form of prostrate surgery to hopefully correct the issue. I am fighting back with all I have, but take my word for it gentlemen, if you ever have to go in to have a catheter installed ask the nurse how much experience she has in the procedure. I got a newbie, I think I confessed to the Kennedy assassination and invented at least a dozen new curse words...........

More surgery scheduled for tomorrow afternoon with a Urologist that will hopefully correct the issue. I have been on a catheter now for almost a month. Wish me luck Gentlemen and take my word for it, "Never ever take for granted what it feels like to have a really great long pee"..............

Really not great. I had the corrective surgery a little over a week ago, and so far it has not been successful. I am looking at several options in the future, some are not very pleasant but must be done to have a decent quality of life. I really appreciate you checking John, I am still hanging in there and fully realize there are many folks out there with health issues much more debilitating than mine. I take it day by day and hope for the best. Safe riding Gentlemen......

Prayers for it to resolve and if not this surgery the next procedure would correct the issue(s).

It will be worth it when it all works out.

I know it might be odd but there are some times having ice on your groin feels good. Had a few of those instances in my life.

A quick update, I have been living bagless now for a couple of days and peeing. Each day seems to get a little better so I am being cautiously optimistic. It feels so good to be returning to almost normal. I have made some promises to the "Man" upstairs and intend to keep them. If all goes well I really believe I will be a better man in the long run who appreciates each day a lot more, not taking life's blessings for granted.......

Been back to looking at Facebook Marketplace and Craig's List....Who knows may be project time again soon......Enjoy your weekend one and all......

As it stands now, I believe I am over the hump. Everything is flowing like it should to include life and my improved attitude. I go back to the Urologist this Friday, the Doc has my deepest sincere gratitude and has made my permanent lifetime Christmas card list. I have gone back to working the new knee through physical therapy and at home numerous times a day. Since prior to the replacement mobility was severely limited it is going to take quite a bite of work to get a full bend. I have been able to take most of my small herd out for short runs with some creative shifting and braking with the exception of the 750 Chopper, I am not sure the knee will ever go that far. I am thinking the "Old Girl" may be going to a new home in the near future. Time will tell.

Regardless, I want to thank you all again for the good wishes, kind thoughts, and prayers. There is a good group of folks on this site, the best one I have ever been a part of. God bless you one and all.....
