Set meter on ohms and heat the part to simulate engine heat. This will help find parts that heat up and go 'open circuit' like Stators and Ignition Coils that could leave you pushing your bike home.

Always check your tire pressure before test rides while troubleshooting, pushing with low tires is even less fun.

I had to push it once, when the main fuse blew, and it was uphill, was a lesson :)

I pushed a 400lb bike about 3/4 mile at night once, no more dirty & rusty fuel tanks for me.
