         You'll have to excuse me, the Razorbacks just put Vandy down with 82-67! If you're from Tenn. I'm not trying to put you guys down, I'm just excited that the Razorbacks are showing some spunk. They've been so up and down, I really didn't figure we'd get this far.

Bill, you and I are more than likely the only ones here who will care. BTW, I am fairly sure stan heath is feeling the heat. Lots of rumors flying around right now about his job.Good thing for him is that even if they can him he still gets paid for 3 more years(I think)

         Yeah, I think you're right about the 3 yrs thing and his job is coming up for review. If they do can him, I hope they can get someone who can get some the guys to be more consistant. Sometimes, they get out there and they can do no wrong and then quite often, it goes the other way. I know that they're just college kids but, so many times they beat themselves, you know? I figure I get so frustrated because we've been in a slump in basketball and football for sometime now. Houston Nutt and Stan Heath seemed like the answer to our problems and, at times, they were. Well, we'll just have to wait and see where it goes from here, won't we?

             Hey, what did we ever do to you, anyway? As 71cb750 said, Stan Heath's job is up for review. What about Tubby, he's been there quite a long time now. I seem to remember that Rick Pitino was who Tubby replaced at UK. I also remember that it was hell to try to beat you guys, when Pitino was there. Wonder what ever happened to him? You think Tubby has reached his peak? I haven't paid much attention to other college basketball game except those with the Razorbacks and a number of them end up with me going outside to do anything except watch the game.

Rick handed Tubby a championship team and it's been, shall we say, less than glorious ever since. Guess I expect too much. Now Rick's down the road at Louisville and he's not having a good year either.

          Hey, I hear you about "expecting too much". It's really a killer, when you see your team really working together and knocking down points in a game and then see them get the stuffing beat out of them in the next game. It's like aliens have taken over or something. It really amazes me how a team can really nail those baskets and next thing you know, BOOM, the other team is beating the crap out of them.
           I have to where I haven't kept up with the other teams that much in a while but, now that you mention it, I haven't heard anything on Rick for quite some time. That's too bad. You take care and I'll catch you later on.

I'm so exited about this thread.  I HATE TUBBY SMITH!  How can Kentucky have hired someone so bad!  Patino is an awesome coach.  You haven't heard alot from him at Louisville because, well- he's at Louisville.  Over the few years he has been there, he has really turned their program around and they have good solid seasons.  It will take a while though (if ever) for Louisville to gain any real status because the top players demand to go to the already top schools such as Duke, Kansas, UNC, etc.  And If you can't get the top players, you just cannot build a top team.  What high school kid is going to pick the Cardinals over the Blue Devil's?  The ones that aren't good enough to play at Duke.  This is my opinion of Patino's problems at Louisville.

But Tubby.  Now there's a problem.  He probably has more money to spend on his program than 99% of all other colleges, more prestige (which he is quickly loosing) since it is the winningest basketball program in HISTORY- thus everyone should want to play for the school, and on top of everything- he walked into an already unbeatable program.  What a suck.

He has changed up the program completely and it has fallen flat on it's face.  Several of the years since he has been at KY the team hasn't even been ranked in the top 25.  THEY ARE CURRENTLY RANKED 4TH IN THEIR CONFRENCE!!!  THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!!

I acctually am eagerly awaiting when they don't even make it to the NCAA tournement because maybe then someone will realize that HE should be coaching a mediocre team at a mediocre school and bring back Patino!!!  All hale Patino!!

On a side not:  Next year Duke will be on FIRE and the team to beat.
                     Tennessee will be the suprise for going deep in the turnament (but they won't win)
                     I don't think Florida will make the final four
                     And Ohio State will win it all.

          I'm hoping Arkansas makes at least a showing. I'm not really that much into sports except to watch the Razorbacks play football and Basketball. I've always been into watching Car and Motorcycle racing along with the shows on tv ans here locally.

I'm down in south Georgia, the closest big city is Albany.  But I'm from up around Ashland, KY.  I was in the military, my wife is from Georgia- I think that says it all.  So here I am, raising my kids as Georgia peaches down in the deep south.  Although I don't like Tubby, I did love watching UGA get their tails handed to them last week at Rupp arena and then rubbing it in at work.  Woohoo!

           Well, I am getting more surprises. Arkansas took care of South Carolina in the tournament play.
      Then, they "barely" beat Vandy again. Now we've got to face Missouri St. (since they beat
      Kentucky). We'll see what happens next.
