Replacement needle jet recommendations?
« on: March 20, 2022, 10:34:42 AM »
Hi All,
Bike is a 1976 cb750K
Decided to change the needle jet clip position to hunt down the source of what I'm assuming is a rich condition after searching around on the forums. All the plugs are carbon fouled and possibly slightly cold? going by the spark plug reading website that was recommended here on the forum. After taking the carbs about and confirming they all have the same hardware 105 main and 40 slow jets, giving the carbs a good clean. I noticed the needle jet in carb two sits more proud in the carb compared to all the other carbs. I'm assuming this could be a problem. Is there any kits or a source for a oem keihn anyone can recommend? I included a photo of the spark plugs ngk8ea and they all look the same even carb two which has the taller needle jet

I was able to get it out and it is indeed taller than the others. I also was able to hunt down the proper part number from bikebandit
Honda NEEDLE SET, JET Part # 16012-392-004

Neither one has any markings on them that I can tell. I wonder if one is oem and the other just a non oem replacement that was put in.

If you can find original parts then definitely go with them. I couldn't find any when I was looking a while ago so went with a Yamiya needle replacement set. They were excellent and I've had no running issues with them.
