1975 Honda cb 750/ starting
« on: May 21, 2022, 04:36:32 AM »
Good day

Full of fuel
Charged battery
Fuel on choke open
Turned over (ran) for 2-3 seconds then stopped
Wouldn’t turn over after that
Turned over fine a week ago
Currently charging battery
Any ideas ?

Thanks is advanced

Good morning CamCb750
Questions to your wording
You say
It "Turned over (ran) for 2-3 seconds then stopped
Wouldn’t turn over after that
Turned over fine a week ago"
I think you are saying it ran a week ago?? As in you've had it running properly in the past and this is a new problem that it spins over and doesn't fire now?
Or is it locked up and starteror kick won't spin over the motor?
What is the bike's history with you?

Possibilities of not firing if spinning over....
Kill switch  bad/broken wire in switch assembly would keep from getting spark(you didn't mention no spark or yes you have spark)
Plugged carbs no gas in bowls?

Do any indicator lights come on when you turn ignition on ie neutral light, oil pressure light etc? If no maybe fuse blown. Maybe problem with ignition switch. If lights come on check kill switch.
