Hi wondering if anyone can help. Rebuilt 400 all standard air filter, carb jets etc.. The bike seems to intake too much air?  holding a foam piece over intake under seat runs like a dream (pun?).
  Checked all twice intake seals, has new intake rubbers, even engine breather fully attached to air box.

New CB750 K5 Planet Blue, demise by ex cousin in law at 9,000 miles...
New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and have missed it greatly.....

Try raising the float levels?

Hi sorry for late reply both float levels are correct I also own a 750 sohc and a 500/4 I know float levels and balance are important, thanks for the thought though

Not super familiar with these bikes and just a guess, but they've got that exhaust with the crossover part -- are you running stock exhaust?
