K7 kickstand length?
« on: July 26, 2022, 09:59:24 AM »
Does anyone have the length of a K7/8 kickstand? I believe someone put a shorter one on mine, as the mount to the frame isn't broken, and yet the bike leans at a 45 degree angle - if not even more than that. Thanks!

It doesn't appear to be bent... just super short, maybe like 8 inches?

About 8 inches from the center of the pivot bolt to the bottom.

Check the frame tube where the bracket welds on, I've seen early ones break on the tube near the weld. I've also welded them back on too straight and made the bike tippy. A little tweakage in the 20 ton H/F press and the sidestand sits right again.

Do you have the stock length fork tubes?
