The Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials event has been cancelled for this year due to a wet lake bed. I'm leaving for a month in SW Colorado.........

May run into you at some point. I'm halfway into my train journey. Just pulled into LA, my turn around point. Home 8/26 I think. Maybe we can do some riding. I will be going to Telluride Blues and Brews mid-September.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Jerry, we have to be back in Idaho for Dr. visits that week. Will do Black Canyon for a few days and then 2-3 weeks in the Telluride, Ouray, Silverton and Ridgway area.

Dennis you will love Ouray, Silverton and Ridgeway. We were there a few years ago. Silverton is a true cowboy town. Main St. is really cool. Up on the hill is an old cemetery which has interesting headstones. John Wayne stayed in Ouray during the filming of True Grit. We stopped at a number of the filming locations too.

We did the train ride to Silverton a few years ago. I had a successful elk-hunt based out of Delores in the '80s. Now we have the RZR and Himalayan to traverse the mountain passes.........still thinking about the Black Bear Pass challenge. Maybe I could tag along with someone I meet along the way? 8) 8)

Dennis you will love Ouray, Silverton and Ridgeway.

And Telluride is an awesome town as well.  It's at the end of a box canyon, one way in and out. Did a motorcycle trip there years ago, camped out by Priest Lake.

Have also done a ski trip there, great mountain for skiing as well.

Ouray is on the list, have driven through it on the Million Dollar Highway but didnt spend much time there.
