One more CB400F wiring question.
« on: October 09, 2022, 06:50:28 AM »
I have this Brown/Blue wire coming from the fuse box (Taillights) left to sort out.

From what I see in the first image it just turns around and connects to the Black wires grouped together under the tank unless whatever it is that is on the diagram is some double top secret component that isn't mentioned by name.  There is a mounting for something in that area which is reminiscent of the mounting for the rear stop switch but it doesn't look like anything was there when this bike was disassembled.

Just making sure before I stick a battery in this next weekend to turn it over and get some oil moving.

Check you have the correct wiring diagram, the US and UK differ at that point as the US lights are on as soon as key is turned on but UK not
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

The mounting you are referring to is for the speed sensor unit, fitted to JDM models. But all models have the bracket fitted, just no sensor ever fitted.
