starter?
« on: February 19, 2023, 06:15:48 PM »
greetings,

I am having a brain fart. Rewiring a 74 750.  The starter works outside the bike but No go when I connect & try to jump it.  Grounds look okay.
???

Welcome aboard the forum bacongrease

When you say you are 'rewiring your 74 750', how are you going about doing it?? You'll need to be more specific as to how and what you are doing.
Are you using the original harness and replacing bad individual wires, using solder and heat shrink or are you making your own harness?
Are you using the original switch gear and starter relay?(they get dirty contacts and need taking apart carefully! Springs go flying!!!)
We need better information from you than a short statement. Wiring can be complicated to many if they don't know the basics and how to follow the wiring schematics. Too many variables not being there with you to test what you have done to it..... we're here to help if we can.

BTW go to the new members section and introduce yourself and your bike. Pictures are always good.
