Rear Hub Bearing Removal 750K
« on: February 23, 2023, 12:20:19 PM »
What's the best way for me to get these out. I have read that you can bend the spacer in the middle out of the way. Left it at a honda dealer for 2 weeks  and they were dumfounded about trying to get them out .
any suggestions. I did try a concrete anchor with no success.

That's how I changed mine. I used a large screw driver to push the middle guide out on a couple of side enough to reach through with a drift and catch the edge of the bearing to knock out.

The middle guide has tangs that keep it centered and by pushing toward the outside you bend the tangs.

Get a blind bearing puller. An auto parts store might have a set in their loaner program.

I do it the same way as denward. Stick a screwdriver down the spacer and force it to one side so you can see the edge of the bearing. Put the drift on it and give it a few hammer hits. Then rotate the spacer half way and drift it again. Just go back and forth and push it out evenly. Once you get one new bearing in bend that tang on the spacer back and put it in before you put the second bearing in or you'll be doing it again...LOL Good luck with it.

Okay, so I use the screw driver in the middle of the spacer and push outwards?

Be sure to carefully straighten out the tangs you bent on the spacer before you put it back in.

Or go tang-less if you're a rebel like me 🤣
