Topic: 4 into 4 cb750 pipes fit cb 500

Hi guys.. does anyone know it 1972,4 into4 pipes from 750 will fit on cb 500 1972…or what can be done to make them fit?

Ive seen them fit before but unsure of the mods needed to make them work.

If i didnt have 81 pages of attachments I would hunt down the picture i posted of the bike once, i was discussing it with forum member Frank.

Cut off the muffler sections of the CB750 exhaust and weld them to the headers of a CB550. Like this guy did with this CB900F: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=5722917111151928&set=gm.5922220154510116&idorvanity=333480393384148

I saw a Benelli SEI last year in NH that had the 750 mufflers welded on. It was interesting

They should be the same at the flange.
Def going to be some cutting and welding to make them right though. Could be a cool start to a custom exhaust. Make a sweet set of short 4 into 2 cross overs!!

 I'm surprised at these answers. For one thing, the 750 engine slants forward and the 550 is vertical.
 I suppose you could make anything fit, though.
