550 With 650 Cam, tach gear conundrum
« on: March 18, 2023, 08:04:59 AM »
So I have my 550 running with the 650 cam. Works great but the tachometer is off.
I have the 650 tach gear installed into the head but my meter is showing around 1k higher at idle. Anyone know which meter or meter gear will be accurate with this setup?
Thanks!

The 650 tachometer can be used to get correct readings and I think if I recall correctly the 750 tach could also be used. The 650 tach has a black face.

 You need a 650 or 750 tach.
