Hey, I finally got the guitar I put a deposit on in 1973.
Yamaha FG-230 12 string.

 Only 34 years? Thats not so bad I guess. So can you jam on that 12 string?. I love to listen to someone play that knows what he's doing.......Jimmy Page come to mind......The guy in the band Zebra....thats another one.

Hey, I was 16 and lost that deposit ;D
But, found me one that is the red label, produced
from 68-72 and sounds better than the Martins ;)

Can I jam, well I use to could but due to shortening a finger
with a jointer I gave up for about 18 years. Now I'm determined to
learn a new fingering technique and get back at it.

OK I have to ask, mainly cause of the chance to be a smart ass.  Which finger got shortened?

You guessed it ;D It was the finger finger. Only shortened it about 3/8's of an inch.
But the flat top look doesn't work to well though I have found out I can
use it on 4 strings at a time now ;)
