Checking in from Southeast Tennessee
« on: May 06, 2023, 10:59:00 AM »
Hello all!

I’ve owned many motorcycles over the years and even did a little racing back in the day. Always loved the old school CB’s and have been browsing for a 750 for some time when i stumbled across a 71 cb500 barn find. Needless to say, it’s now in the garage!

I’ll start a thread and get to work but I’m happy to be here and eager to learn from you all as I go!

Congrats on your CB500 find.
I've stayed many times in Greenville TN at a friend's on my fall rides to San Diego. Lots of fun roads down your way.

I'm from Chattanooga with family in Knoxville as well! Tennessee has some pretty riding but I'm probably a bit partial as well! Glad to see people who have visited and likely many from the area as well.

Yes indeed very pretty riding there, from VA all the way into the GA mountains.

Welcome from Minnesota,

The 500/550 does well on gravel roads also.
