Topic: Fuel Line Size

Anyone know offhand what size fuel line for 1978 750F? Think it is 1/4" but not sure. Thanks.

Stock was 5.5mm (.216") it's available online but it's not particularly cheap.

Not without leaks if 5.5mm is stock, 6mm is gonna leak

The auto parts places sell 5.5mm vapor hose;I've used 3/16" hose which fits tight.

Think that is what I use also on 750's etc.. Bought a whole big spool of it when a hardware store was closing. It has worked well for me. Little warm up on the end with a heat gun and a little grease on the mounting nipples and its easier to get on or off and no leaks or clamps.

Same spigot size as CB750 K0-K4 dual spigot petcocks?
I use 6mm hose by Gates, their Barricade. Work fine with mini clamps.
That setup has adapters to 8mm hose for the carbs spigots.

Another bike got a grey hose from Yamiya. That sit very tight with simple thread clamps included.
Take time to get off.

I get Gates brand,it holds-up for about a year+ before it gets dried out because of ethanol.

Gates Barricade hose should cope with that plus other chemicals.
That bike gets Shell V-Power with hopefully less ethanol.
Same hoses since early 2015 with countless of tank off-on since then. Not numbers of times...Dozens of times

I just checked Napa here locally and they have the 5.3mm/1/4" Gates Barricade fuel hose(not fuel injection)and they stock it.
Does that Gates Barricade hose resist Ethanol degradation ??

Search for "5.5mm fuel hose". You can get it in 2-ft lengths, usually.
I buy lots more...
