thanks,
I don't need one, and the honda replacement today , like from CMS, is available, just doesn't fit in the original rubber holder. plus, you can get a new holder to fit the superceded part...
I get interested in researching original, factory parts with honda, specifically 550's.....
The flasher is from ebay and off a '74 550K. The seller has no info on the bike, he gets bikes, strips 'em and sells parts. So there's no proof of the parts origin. And the ad is 5 years old, hasn't sold....he's not claiming anything...
But, I have a '75 550F , purchased in 1994 that from all angles, research, and documentation, is an original, unrestored bike. It has that flasher in it, which started this questioning. Then I stumbled across this ebay ad showing the same one, which had me digging further. However, my bike was 19 years old in 1994, and although only had 6400 miles on it, I'm not the original owner.....so like I said, no "proof"....
That signal-stat is from an old Honda dealer I know, It was in an unopened Honda bag with the honda part tag.
He had others in a box, no bag, no D.O.T. sticker, from decades ago, but all made in the U.S.....
I wouldn't think Honda , back in 1975, would have U.S. made flashers, shipped to japan and put on factory bikes.
I also wouldn't think an original honda factory part would not have some type of identification on it either....
....just curious....
lots of knowledgeable people on here and some care about originality..........
