Agree on all the above. I've got a '73 R75/5 LWB and is a lovely bike to ride. The back end has a tendency to lift on take-off (idiosyncrasies of these older BMW's) Mine was a lucky find with one owner and 4000 miles from new. I finishevd a very light cosmetic restoration earlier this year. I still much prefer the Honda 750 though...

The carbs are not too bad to work on and you sure can't beat the access. Those diaphragms can get old and stiff or get a small hole. While your in there you should probably replace them if they are questionable.

I can get a pair of carbs of and back on an airhead in about 10 minutes.    It took me about 35 minutes of wrestling to get the carbs out of my '79 CB750 yesterday.    The small SOHC fours are worse, I think it took me an hour to get the carbs out of my CB350F.   That's going to be a fun job to put 'em back in.

I've just seen this R100RS with sidecar and even though I swore to myself that I'd never buy another old R100RS, this one is so beautiful, I'm sorely tempted.............

It does with the original headlight and turn signals.   I'll be removing and selling the fairing.

Although, if it doesn't take too awful much time to remove and reinstall, I might keep it around for cold weather.

I will be selling my '94 Mystic -- I definitely don't need TWO paralever airheads.   I like the Mystic, but, the regular R100R with luggage and a longer seat to peg distance will fit me better.

That looks great mate, but I reckon I'd keep the fairing, it's one of the nicer fairings I've seen on a BMW.

Ha ha, as much as I'd love it, I reckon the seller will want a lot more than $6K, plus I'd have to sell 3 of my bikes just to make enough room in my garage, and I couldn't decide which 3 bikes I'd sell to make room for it. It is beautifully engineered though, whoever did it did great work! Cheers, Terry.
