My current rides
1975 K5 Planet Blue my summer ride, it was a friend's bike I worked with at the Honda shop in 76, lots of fun to be on it again
1976 K6 Anteres Red rebuilding project, was originally my brother's that I set up from the crate, it'll breath again soon!
Project 750s, 2 K4, 2 K6, 1 K8
2008 GL1800 my daily ride and cross country runner

Prior bikes....
1972 Suzuki GT380 I had charge of it for a year in 1973 while my friend was deployed and learned to love street riding....
New CB450 K7 after my friend returned...
New CB750 K5 Planet Blue, demise by ex cousin in law at 9,000 miles...
New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and have missed it greatly.....

Great Project you have here. Thanks for the Updates and progress.

I am currently doing a 1975 CB400F not to this extent but making everything shiny and pretty. close to factory original as possible.

I own an all original 1976 CB750F0 with just over 7000 miles on it. its just like the bike my neighbor gave me in 1979 with 45 miles on it.He rode it twice and dropped it twice. I rode that Bike all through high school and college. i sold that one in 1986 with 62k miles on it.

I have done some cosmetic restoration stuff on in since this picture was taken, side covers are the correct color now and some new finishes here and there.

The lift is bought from premium bike lift in Canada out of BC
where it's made I do not know
It's a heavy lift and I do like it
The lift does not wobble when fully raised with a heavy bike on it
that's the reasen I bought it not cheap $$$$$$$

That's a nice bike all original, Hard to find these days
The only one I own that is as close to all original is my CX500 Turbo
The only thing on the Turbo bike that has been re done is the Exhaust
Needed to preserve it from rusting out so I had it ceramic coated and it looks like stock

BIKE SHOW
Last week end the Edmonton Bike show was on
The CVMG had a invite to display bikes and the display was 30'x50' and there was room to display 27 Bikes
There was a couple HONDA bikes

The show was well attended on all 3 days
Have not seen any numbers ..Hoping the meeting on Tuesday will reveal the attendance number
It's nice to see all the spectators smiling when they look at the bikes and all the stories that was told
Only had two guys tell me that the CX500TC was not a turbo bike LOL
then I had to convince them by showing the turbo tugged up under the radiator LOL

I remember we where talking about the LH front engine mount being different on the 1977
I wish my paint was a bit better
O well cant have it all
Patina has a charm as well
Sure got a lot of comments on the bike at the Show

Hansel….. I restored that one 5-6 years ago. Pulled the plate off my K8 and put a hundred miles on it one Sunday morning. It’s been sitting, bundled up in the back of my shop for years…. Too many bikes!

Also have to many bikes and P make a note on the calendar every time I take one out

Here is a update on the CB750F2
Paint work is all back and looking good
Cost a fortune to have it done.. Looking good and happy
Waiting on the cylinder head to be done at the machine shop
Hoping next week for that
Got a 320 grit ball hone so I can de glace the cylinder for the new rings to seat
then it is time to assemble and repaint the engine

I'm happy with the paint  ;D
my next step is to restore the tank badges to look as close to original
I'm thinking of doing a transparent gold powder coat over the polished emblem and then paint over and wipe the letters clean
In the process of talking to Impact powder coat (Bruce)and he is willing to do a test run
on a not to good looking tank emblem
hoping for good results

Hi every one been some time
I replaced the valve guides and send the head out for a valve job
found new replacement valves on eBay and the price was OK not cheap
for some reasen the 750F2 super sport is not cheap for some parts (only 77-78 year)
got a set of valve guides from 4into1 and some other goodies

I did some port blending for a bit of free horse power before is send the head out
just lite blend not to open it up just to blend the sharp corners and then I did a polish to smoothed the runners and Vapor honed it nice and smooth   

my machinist Larry at Bel engine did it for me (he only does automotive performance stuff)
the valves and guides are small compared to automotive sizes
honed the guides and cut the seats and did a resurface of the head (47RA surface )so I can use a MLS head gasket
now i can assemble and get it ready for the engine

 Going to order a MLS top-end head gasket from CycleX and a new final drive chain and updated chain tension roller with a bit more spring tension

Was hoping to have it done for spring .How ever just got date date for my shoulder surgery set for March 20 and that will set me back a couple month
Needs to be done any way

Just caught up on your project, very nice!   

I have found that a valve job is so important to getting the motor running great after a rebuild. Money well spent.

very expensive compared to the 750K bikes
valve springs are a bit higher set pressure as well

Thats good to know about the main needle
When I do Carb's I all ways use the old brass because the #$%* that comes in the kits can not be trusted
I have gotten kits that had the marking on the jet's and still not trusting them
for the most of time's that I need carb parts I just use the gaskets and O-rings
