Handlebar switch replacement
«

Is there a trick to replacing the switch and wires? Had to replace, and I can’t seem to be able to make enough room inside so that the two halves meet without leaving at least an 1/8th of an inch between the two.
Any help much appreciated.

The struggle with this has been real for me since I first started messing with motorcycles in the early 1980's :-).

Finally got it done. Pretty close to fully having both sides meet. Key was to keep the wires loose so they could be moved around within the switch assembly. Tendency is to pull them tight which defeats the purpose.
