Alloy Boltz engine crankcase
« on: November 21, 2023, 12:28:11 AM »
Hello everyone,

Anyone has experience replacing their entire crank case screws? I got the copper anti seize in hand too.

I am looking at getting these and I believe these are complete and good enough ?

On a fresh build those fasteners look good. Easy to over torque, so inch/lb., preferably small/1/4”drive, torque wrench a must. Not sure about pulling and replacing each one individually. Doesn’t seem like a good practice to me. Curious what others will think.

I used a similar kit on my 750 K3 project, it was an all stripped down project and they worked well. +1 on careful torque values, a must.
A one for one method will likely work on accessible fasteners, not sure about disturbing an engine assembly this way, it likely will work but I don't think I'd try it.

We've used several of their case cover bolt kits. Removing and replacing the cover screws one at a time is fine but not sure about disturbing the case bolts unless splitting the cases. Alloy Boltz is a great place to buy from, we buy stainless steel bolts, nuts and washers from them in bulk as well as the kits. They have great prices. Bolts that cost $3.50 to $4.00 at the hardware store cost 65¢ to 75¢ at Alloy Boltz. They ship USPS flat rate boxes and I got the last order in two days from Florida to Washington.

You don't need Copper Antisieze, just the plain old Zinc (Grey formula) is appropriate.
