1981 cb650cc tire size question

tires last thing i need to do to my 81 cb650c
and wanted know what fatest rear tire that can fit has a 120/90 right now looks like may be ably fit 140/70 has any one tried this yet to verify its fit?

It isn't always a question about fitting the fattest tire. It is also a safety issue. Although a fat tyre looks cool, it might cause a safety problem because there is a limit regarding what tyre size the rim can take.

130/90 is the biggest mine can take ('82 CB650)

I put a 140/90 on my 16 once and would still do it but they are double price now. Its only one size bigger than stock. I have a 130/90 on the 17 right now but havent really rode it yet. Also I believe 1 bigger than stock but this is my first 17" so didnt get familiar with them yet.
