Frame stripped and primed. Have to wait for warmer weather to paint .
Engine cases ready for paint also.

A little more progress. Decided I’m going to zinc plate the bolts so that will take a while before I can start reassembling the engine.

So with a dive into the electrical junk box I have been able to collect enough parts to rebuild and rewire the original switches. The buttons and knob were all broken and bent and the internals were pretty bad but I took them apart and cleaned/rewired then installed on the original bars. They are scratched and faded and buying new replacements would be the easy way out, but I am trying to keep as much of the original bike as possible.

A little more progress on the bike. All the electrical is working and the engine is in. Next I have to get the oil tank and lines cleaned and installed. Getting there but I don’t have a tank/side cover set or pipes for it. I am going to have to borrow them from one of my other bikes so I can get it running and saftied when the time comes.

Dwayne….. Amazing resurrection! What great weather.

      I might be able to put together a usable set of 341’s you can “borrow” for a while. Want me to have a look? Do you have a set of carbs? I opened a box looking for something else today and found an excellent set!

……. I have six pipes left in the rack. I was saving them for the “black bike” K3 that’s on a 4-1. Some are not great, but all usable. I’m sure we could pull the four best to get your project running? You will have to do some polishing and small repairs, for sure……

I have two good fenders, correct for K4. Not perfect, but very usable. Two on right.

New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and have missed it greatly.....

That looks amazing! Did you redo the instruments? New faces? What I meant was the two fenders on the right. Either will work. I think #3 (from the right!) is the best one. It has been kinked a bit at the bottom of the back, but hardly visible.

Gauges were overhauled by Marcel at cb750 faces a couple of years ago. I sent him several sets of different years all at once to save on shipping etc. picture has glare from the garage lights, they are really nice finish.

It runs! Fellow Honda freak BenelliSEI lent me some old pipes to get this thing going and it started and runs nice. Next is dwell check and carb balance but that might have to wait a little as it’s -4c right now and not going to get any warmer for days. I’m still happy! Next I have to locate a tank and body set.

Not really great pics but I borrowed a tank and side covers from one of my other bikes to get this one going until I can find some others. Bike is ready for safety and plates so I can get it back on the road. One less that would rot into the ground!
