2+ Supersport’s followed me home!
« on: March 22, 2024, 10:57:57 PM »
Found a fellow with 2 titled 77 750f project bikes, plus another frame, tanks, seat and 2 giant totes of parts and bits pieces, and figured I’m neck deep in a full rebuild of my 77, might as well add to the collection!

Looks like a good find!

Cheers. My dad has eyes on one of them, will be fun to wrench on it together. Hope to return both to running condition in time.

Wow! Is that an extra Comstar wheel in the trailer, too?
I have an orphaned pair of sidecovers for those around here, one with a repairable minor crack. Yours if you want them? I think they are the ones that JC Whitney used to sell.
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

Any interest in selling me a tank? Preferably not the absolutely #$%*tiest one

Yep will be selling off 1 or 2, but now I get to figure out which are the best… good news is I know 3 of them hold fuel no problem. Need to verify that for the other 2 then need to rank outside and inside condition.

An extra comstar and a 78 SS frame with no title. Lots of parts in boxes, I’ve got a lot of parts I need to sort.

I’d be glad for a set as you know the stock ones are so brittle and they’re all cracked on these 2 bikes. Will have to read up on what’s the best glues for the side covers. I’m doing a bit of ABS repair on my wife’s Honda NC30, but that’s a black substrate…

That’s kinda the point of a restoration project isn’t it?

Turns out I checked out and photographed one of the 2 bikes I just bought a week and a half ago, back in 2017! Just scrolling through some 750 photos and noticed this!

The 750 sidecovers are ABS so yes use ABS cement(not a combination glue!)
Sand back where glue will be, put mesh tape on, put thin layers of cement (3) with 24 hrs between coats. Left set a week to fully cure.

That a nice score
I'm doing the 1978 CB750F2
looking for a horn . I only have one that works not sure if it's the low or HI horn
if you have the inventory sorted out and want to part way's with a horn
let me know
Just scored a good bargain on a set of head light covers from Cameron cycle Ontario
(Thanks to JOHN for the tip off)
The covers are like NEW and a new NOS side cover emblem and tank lock clip NOS
just like winning the lottery in parts
Waiting for one side cover emblem. Tank emblems on the way all NOS
