Twin disk conversion on 550f
« on: June 15, 2005, 12:51:29 PM »
I'm finding the brakes a bit (putting it mildly) poor after riding my Honda RS250.  ;D Is it possible to convert the front setup to use an extra disk/ or is there a caliper replacement that is able to crack a hazle nut and work with the existing 200 lb single disk!!!! I accept that installing a second disk will bring new meaning to the term unsprung weight LOL!

Thanks

There is a very good twin disk conversion article somewhere on this board (if I could only remember where...)

Search on "twin disk" and/or go to the archive here: http://www.glennstauffer.com/smf/ and do likewise.
