1970 CB750 K0 Headlamp Wiring
« on: May 26, 2024, 10:00:26 AM »
I have been scratching my head all day on this. Connecting up the headlamp wiring all good except for four wires I can’t figure out.

1. Solid yellow from the right switch
2. Yellow white from the right switch
3. Single brown from the main harness
4. Single black from the main harness.

The main harness and both switches are new. The tachometer and speedometer are original.

Any guidance much appreciated.

Those rh switch colours are for a 450 twin, the single brown is for the much discussed front sidelight used in different countries, no idea on single black

No idea if my wiring is stock, without checking the wiring diagram, but on my K6 I have a single black, which goes to my right hand indicator.

Oh dear ...

The black wire sends 12 volts to the switch.
The switch returns 12 volts on the brown/white (tail light) and white wires for low beam.
The switch returns 12 volts on the brown/white (tail light) and brown wires for high beam.
If wire color differs you can open switch and check wire colors or use volt ohm meter.

Do you have the original switch or a replacement switch?
Do you have the Honda wiring diagram for your bike?
