« on: June 10, 2024, 03:49:50 PM »
Anyone have any favorite vids/refs for reassembling the carbs after complete breakdown?  I hope I don’t have a complete breakdown :-[

That will be Marco on the German forum. He first made very good videos on both the dissasembly as well as the reassembly of his CB500 carbs. There are about 8 or 9 videos of them, each about 20 minutes! He is gründlich and does explain well in his soft and modest voice. BTW, all his vids are free of bragging and pretending, a true relief... CB350F carbs are very similar. He also made vids on the assembly of his CB350F carbs. In total some 165 minutes. His channel: https://www.youtube.com/@motormac3657 I've just discovered you can opt for subtitles in English. You'll be impressed.

This corrosion tore one of my brand new o-rings (Julie sent me) when I was putting the jet back in on top of the needle😭. Not a complete tear…shaved off maybe 25% of the tiny oring. Now I don’t know whether I should leave it there or put an old O-ring on it, only one of the 4 didnt crumble when I took it off.
After that one tore, I used a very fine rat tail file to smooth up the inner edge circumference of all the other towers on the remaining carbs and had no further problems

Using the above guide- the dude fails to mention re-installing the leaf spring after installing/setting the floats….he says “then you can instal the float bowls”!  I got 2 back together when I looked over in my muffin tray and saw them and thought “hey they should go in before the bowl cover is screwed on!!
