If any of you have seen my prior post, the Motad 4 into 1 system that came with the bike when I bought it has no mounting hardware with it. And since nobody has responded to my post as to where to obtain it, I'm taking that as a bad sign. So if it's going to be an issue to use it, I'm probably just going to buy a new 4 into 1 system, and sell the Motad system here on the forum.

Does anyone have any suggestions for the best 4 into 1 exhaust for performance for a 1975 CB550 with high compression bored over pistons and the 650 cam upgrade? Let me know

Dekelvic or Handle 4 into 1 systems are best for with stock or modified motors...not a quiet exhaust but well built and easily accommodating whatever you throw at it...

Motad parts would be available from European suppliers as Motad is a more popular brand in Europe. Check on the UK SOHC4 forums for recommended suppliers...

This is the EXACT system! And I have the 4 pipes and the tail pipe. That's IT! And I did wind up finding this video and was like woh...even if I had everything to install it I'd have to worry about all these issues??? Maybe I should just sell it...

here is the system installed on the bike (‘74 550 in fact). Can’t quite see in this picture, but you can follow my 550 build thread in my signature to see how I used a spring to support the tail pipe.

Ceramic coating inside aides in keeping the exhaust gas hotter to increase the scavenging. Plus it reduces the radiated heat to the tubing. Coating the outside helps reduce the ambient heat and helps reduce the likelihood of scalding your legs or melting your boots.

Let me ask you this...do you have like a bracket or system or something already mocked up for this system you'd be willing to sell me? I did end up buying the motogpwerks yoshi kit but went with the steel, it was unanimous that the black wouldn't fit the scheme I did. Although I still have to figure out something to mock up to mount the tail pipe. You got anything already for that by chance?

Mine doesn’t use a bracket; it uses a high strength spring attached to my rear set bracket and to the tailpipe where there is an existing mounting screw.

I can likely fab up a bracket for you if you have some dimensions. Not sweat there.

I have a MotoGPwerks pipe on my K3 750, it is a great exhaust.  They were all custom made in California.  I dont have a bracket holding the rear of it, Cal would not be happy 'bout that!  The spring is a great idea and I plan to source one, thx for the idea, Cal.
