Delkavic exhaust
« on: September 26, 2024, 07:27:30 AM »
My stock exhaust on my CB650 is toast. I am looking for a replacement ( stock ) but I know it's going to be hard to find a nice set. So I am looking at a DELKEVIC 4 into 1. Any commnets on that exhaust?  Does anyone have one installed on their CB?

Thanks

I hear that they are light weight and work well, What I do know is the stainless will turn a slight bronze color and if you don't like that you need to polish them from time to time.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

The wheat color these pipes become is very attractive. They are light weight and excellent quality. In the case of the '77 K7, the entire system weighs less than just one of the original header and muffler

I like the “trumpet” version myself … either one is nice though.

I find it's a good system for the cost of it. I got the longer version. I must be getting old, it's a bit loud to me.

We've installed 4 Delkevik systems and they all fit perfectly. Their customer service is great too. On one baffle the welded on nut to hold it in was stripped. They sent a new baffle right away. On the 77' KZ 1000LTD I installed a center stand, they didn't come with one. We ordered the LTD system and didn't even consider that there won't be a center stand stop. Delkevik sent me a stop for free. 8)

I have one on my 750F. Love it. Sounds great and the whole thing weighs less than just the OEM header. Dollar for dollar there is not a better deal out there.

Yes I am in the silencer over Trumpet crowd :-). Put the silencer on my CB750K2.

+1 for silencers. Loud bikes don't really add much except noise. I hear the V-twins here a lot with no silencers at all. Annoying.

The "silencer" actually produces a delightful snarl at high revs. Sometimes I have my son ride the bike past me at speed so I can enjoy the sound. As the great poet Jimmy Buffet said, "I'm growing older but not up"

I had a real tough time talking myself into putting anything but 4 into 4 stock exhausts on a cb750 but I must say that this exhaust mounts really well and sounds pretty good! Very good quality system and good price.
