I'm running a bike that's 43yrs old which has never had the cam chain replaced, plus the cam chain tensioner wasn't properly adjusted when I got the bike  ::) .
I'm looking for a good Japanese cam chain(at least 120links), #219H type and a separate rivet-style master link;I have the good Made in USA cam chain rivet tool made by Kent Moore.
I want the standard Japan non-HD chain, just Not made in China.

The more worn a cam chain gets, the more it retards the cam timing;I want to replace that chain for better low-end and improved all-around performance.

Uh, isn't 120 links the size of the sprocket's chain driving the wheel? You OK?

I don't understand your question David ?  "You OK"  with what ?
Not to over-think it;let's keep this simple.
I'm looking for a new 120 link chain, although longer is ok because I will be breaking the new chain to install it,then installing the rivet master link.

Please refer to my original post;after you read it,what does it say to you ?

Cam chain, not drive chain of 120 links?

My cam chain #219H w/ 120 links is what I posted about, that is correct;not the rear drive chain.

I think, Danger Will Robinson.....
The confusion might be from the lack of saying what bike or motor you are working on.....

Have a look here Bill.
EK is a Japanese company.
I can’t say that their camcahains are are made there.
I may have this chain in my own CB for 30000 miles/15 years

Just curious but what engine, 120 links is a LONG chain for a SOHC, most have camchains under 100 links.

Thanks guys.
The bike is a 1981 Suzuki GS450 w/ dohc twin cams.
The Suzuki 1989'- GS500E/F twin takes the exact same chain.
The OEM chain is still available, but it's an endless chain and requires the cases to be split.
I want to replace the chain w/ a new one that's good quality,so it'll last and maintain spot-on cam timing.

Sorry Bill, 94 links is not 120 links. But these guys at Z1 enterprise have an awful lot showing and maybe they would get exactly what you want.

OddJob I have only one, it’s a K1 750

Bill, here’s a 128 link chain and master link for CB 450:

Thanks guys  ;)
I'm looking at these different links you've uploaded,I appreciate that.
The more I look at the EK,the better I like it. The adds show a box that says Made in Japan and the listings describe the different 219H sizes and a few listings says the rivet link is included  ;)

The DID219fth chain is far stronger though, and the shape of the links makes them kinder to the tensioner blade and quieter in operation.

However, it’s your bike, your choice but at least you can make an informed decision now.

That DID chain looks exactly like the orig. one in the bike now, with the same link-plate design.
Does DID offer a rivet link for it ?
I couldn't find that information..

Suzuki seemed to adopt the heavy duty FTH design well before Honda, in fact I’ve sold loads of them for the 350/400/500/550/750 SOHC engines as I cut them down and rejoin them to the correct length using a factory chain riveter which joins them so well you are unable to spot which one is the new link. I have loads of rivet links for them so they readily available quite cheaply I may add.

I'm glad for confirmation on that chain, plus availability of the rivet link.  ;)

Would you send me a 120L. 219FTH ?  Does this chain have bushings on the link pins ?
