Interesting thing on that bike is is sold 3 times on BaT, for approx $2K less each time!
Did you set a reserve? I know that try to discourage that.

Yeah, I saw that. Now is definitely not a good time  :P

I am going no reserve. I didn't get the bike as an investment, I got it to make sure it didn't fall through the cracks. I wanted to make sure it got back on the road and that has been accomplished. I think regardless, the buyer will get a good deal because it's an honest bike, it's as good as it looks, no better, no worse and I'll be happy if it goes to someone who will ride it rather than just look at it.

I don't think I will regret selling it, I have enjoyed owning it, learning about CB750's in general and working on it. That's enough for me. There will be more bikes and cars in the future and I will love them as well.

The BaT auction is now live. This should be interesting.

Wow, great job!
Nice bike!

Thanks,
Unfortunately, the reason I am back onto the bike right now is the fact I'm getting it ready to sell. I'm in the process of moving and where I am going I would only be able to ride it for a few months out of the year versus the all year riding I can presently do in SoCal. It makes more sense to sell it to someone who can ride it more often. I don't want it to turn into a garage queen.
Where are you moving to?
I'm in southern NH and ride my K5 April to November as long as there hasn't been salt put on the roads or there has been 2-3 good rain to wash the roads of salt.

We are headed to the mountains in Colorado. 8000+ ft and a gravel road. It's just not ideal territory for a classic street bike. I'm thinking an adventure bike.

Back in the 70s I lived in Breckenridge and rode my 76 there during the spring(3-4 weeks), summer(2 weeks) and fall 3-4 weeks)

Late to the game here but read through the thread, I was thinking early on in the thread that the K2 I have that my dad bought new was Candy Gold. Memory is not telling me if the stripes were black or not. The tank and side covers on my bike were stolen about 1976. Local Honda dealers back then had a terrible time getting parts and my dad was never able to get a set of side colors. He did find a used tank in "trading post" newspaper that came out once a week. That tank was 1973 Green and had the fuel petcock in the correct location for 1972. 1988 or so I ended up being able to order new side covers from a Honda Dealer in Adrian, MI.

Wow, Sorry it has been so long. Had a medical issue, got sidetracked, worked on other things, finished the bike, worked on different other things then remembered this thread.

I have been riding the bike for a while now. It runs great and is my favorite thing. I love riding it in the evening and early in the morning on weekends.
