Hello from Encounter Bay, South Australia
« on: December 13, 2024, 09:06:35 AM »
Hi, I'm Dave, and I'm trying to re-live my childhood :)

I bought a 750K1 (new) when I was 16, and had a whole world of fun and adventures on it before replacing it with a Z900.

I am now retired and (likely foolishly) have found a rather nice (original) example of the identical bike to take to Coffee and Chrome occasionally.

I also bought a fully restored Z900 which should be here in a couple of days, as I try not to do anything by halves :)

I have a few classic cars also, and am a keen amateur photographer,   You can see my stuff on my website(s) if you wish.

I am located about 100km south of Adelaide, just outside of a very pretty town called Victor Harbour.  I stream a view on youtube 24/7 from my balcony -

Really pleased to be here amongst other CB enthusiasts, as I can see there is a wealth of information and knowledge here that will help me care for the CB750, and hopefully tidy up a few things that aren't quite right :)

Welcome aboard the forum Dave.
I did a screenshot of your bike and rotated it for all to see it easier. Nice bike, have fun with it, they are still a blast to ride and to work on.

Dave…. Welcome from Canada! There is a K1 on bringatrailer.com right now, identical to yours. It even has the chrome headlight ears from a later bike! Enjoy your ride, my K1 is my favorite!

Thanks Stu - I picked the wrong image and didn't notice :)   To be fair it WAS late!   I've replaced, and many thanks for the welcome..

Welcome gotorx7 from NC (USA).

Please share pics of your other toys (especially the 900) !

I used to have a 900 myself and would like to find another.

I spoke to couple of neighbours, and they remember you too!!   lol

Victor Harbour is a lot bigger than it was 40 years ago, but still a very nice little town,  and it's pretty civilised too .. we have a Macdonalds, and Aldi - everything!
