Anyone Rebuilt K5/K6 & F0/F1 Petcocks? I need the oring size
« on: January 09, 2025, 09:09:09 AM »
I have 3 of these petcocks, used, I bought new Honda sock screen kits for them, but they don't include the oring behind the cam lever in the petcocks. I believe, measured from the old worn orings, they measure @ 1.97mm x 18.68mm ID. The red arrow points to the oring (that isn't numbered in the fiche). They do leak eventually.
These petcocks have the cone shaped selector and spring behind the lever. And attach to the tank threaded bung with a nut.
I know that oring was not available in the part fiche or the size listed. Someone must know the original size (and maybe the part number)

It was never available from Honda so the only way is trial and error fitment
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

This O-ring 16997-467-000 can be ordered separately at CMSNL.
https://www.cmsnl.com/products/o-ring118x355_16997467000/ It measures 11,8x3,55 mm.
It is the one I needed, but I didn't want to buy the complete strainer set* which includes it. As it fits to 2125 (!) Honda models, according to CMSNL, maybe this your best bet.

11.8x3.55 isn't even close to the measurements I gave above. Why did you throw that in here??

On second thoughts, it probably is not. My O-ring 16997-467-000 is the upper one, between the tank and the nut in the pic.

I'm in the process of rebuilding mine.

I'm digging through my o-ring stash trying to find the right ones.

Good luck with yours.
