Winter is almost over, spring is almost here....
« on: March 27, 2007, 05:35:21 am »
I went to start my '78 CB-550 last weekend after the cold winter, noticing I forgot to take the battery out and charge it during those long months.  Damn!

Before I stored it I filled the gas tank and added stabilizer, plus changed its oil and filter.

Should I change its oil after the 4-5 winter storage?  I haven't done that in the past, but I'm wondering what the consensus is.

Thanks.

I think if you put the new oil in before storage it should be fine.

Many people recommend new oil before winter storage and new oil again after winter storage because condensation can enter the engine case.
