Spent the day prepping the building around my shop for the event that is this coming Saturday. Looks like +30 entries, starting off from our farm. Kevin D. is going to be here with his son, my son is also joining us. Another local CVMG a member is bringing his son, with two more cb750’s. Should be at least 5 SOHC Hondas, so will take some pictures. The one below is from a few years ago.

The plan is for 250 km. ride, with a lunch stop in Warkworth, ON. and then back here for a BBQ at 5pm. I’ll probably ride the morning loop and then come back home to set up for the meal….. Weather is cooperating and calling for a warm sunny day. Fingers crossed!

Lots :) :) :) of sunshine in the forecast: before during after. :)

Got my Koito headlight fitted.
A new speedo cable stopped the speedo jitters.
Gas tank is full.
More fuel stops forecast at my sons Magna has a 3.6G tank and 35mpg advertised.

Here’s the write up for the CVMG News about the 2025 Ganaraska 250.

The high light of our riding season was the revived and much revised Ganaraska 250. Initially entries were slow to come in, and it seemed we were flogging a dead horse. Enthusiasm whipped up in the last few days, and the entry list shot up to +30! The weather blessed us with summer-like sunshine, clear blue skies, and warm temperatures. We started the day with coffee and sweets at Meadowridge Farm, followed by a rider’s meeting. The new CVMG online waiver signing added to the amusement. Phil and George planned a delightful route that led us all to Warkworth for a midday lunch. This charming location is well worth the visit. So much so that 10 of our group went back there again the following day after the usual breakfast gathering. Participants wound their way back to the farm by late afternoon for scoring tabulations and a few “low key” awards. My son Christopher led a small group that included me, and my good friend Kevin Dolin (all the way from Michigan) with his son Derek. We were joined by Patsy and her Dad, Ed Vaillancourt. Next up came Chris Laidlaw (LAIDS on this forum) and his son Harrison. Later, I learned that Ian Taylor rode with his son Colin too. What a Family Affair this ride has become! Laurie Wookey and Brian Malloy were kind enough to chase around with a truck and trailer to make sure everyone returned safely.
Some extra guests meant close to forty members stayed for an evening BBQ and lots of good story telling. The last trailers and motorcycles rolled out through our gate as the sun was setting on a perfect day. Kudos to Phil, the organizing committee, Fred (for the super Tee Shirts) and our supportive Ganaraska Section.  A truly memorable day was had by all. As I am writing this, thank-you notes continue to pop into my in-basket. Finally, a special thanks to my wife Maya, who stayed back and made sure everything was laid out and ready for the evening. What a great group of friends! We should do it again?

A few photos. Kevin D’s 1971 cb750K is the first bike on the left, followed up with four more!

Here is the course mapped out. 8 1/2 x 11 isn’t nearly large enough.
72 turns
It’s a very good thing Derek and I were followers.

I got the
silo count = 6
Monument balls = 3
Percy street river crossing = park
Doug’s tractors = Kawasaki
Stadtkes transformers = 3 maybe 6, looks like the east 3 feed the building next door.

I missed
the top of hill 287
And the Leskard watch

Google street view was somewhat helpful afterwards.

The “top of the hill 287” totally baffled us. Never saw Stadtkes or Lessard watc!
