Just getting Started HERTS UK
« on: March 16, 2025, 11:16:31 AM »
Hi All,
A little note to hello to everyone on the forum.
I collected my 1978 CB550 F last week after wantong a bike from my birth year for ages. It's a really nice honest example with some rust & pitting in the chrome but generally in good condition.
It has been sitting for a while so will need a good going over before it's back on the road.
I have pulled the carbs off as there is a good bit of lacquer in them from dried fuel but it's cleaning off OK so far.
Really looking forward to getting out on it an hopefully meeting some of you lot!

I apologise now for all the questions...

Chris.
Trying to get my (New to me) CB550 F Back on the road.

Question away!
My 500/550 book should come out late this week. It would probably help?
See SOHC4shop.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

The demons are repulsed when a man does good. Use that.
Blood is thicker than water, but motor oil is thicker yet...so, don't mess with my SOHC4, or I might have to hurt you.
