I may get one sent here to UK, any idea of shipping cost Mark?
I could only hazard a guess? I know the publisher can ship them a lot cheaper than us mere mortals, though. They can put it into a flat cardboard box that fits 1 book and send it "media rate". When I sent some signed copies out last week from the main Post Office here, I could not get the same 'media rate' that they do: theirs is about 40% less - so I guess that would be the least expensive way? I think the difference might be in their made-to-ship boxes, as the ones I made were hand-made copies of the one I saw when I was getting the proof copies, but with heavier cardboard.
Some 20+ years ago when I did My CB750 Book the printer had a "sister" shop in Europe somewhere, and orders placed from there got printed there, too. That seems to be gone now, though. Their format is different: the book had to be re-formatted to a Euro version (taller and narrower pages), which made more pages and it crossed over a 'boundary' of page count that made it 15% more expensive. It also really messed up the pictures, leaving half-pages of whitespace and moving that picture to the next page, which really messed with the contents. So, I pulled it after 2 years.
