newbe here
« on: March 27, 2025, 07:25:04 PM »
Hey everyone, I'm Phill, A native of southern California. I used to own a 77 CB400Four way back when. It was my first mode of transportation for my last two years of High School. many fond memories of riding that bike.
I'm looking to pick up another. I looked at one so far, but it was a little rough. But man, when I took it for a spin it sure felt good to be back on another one!
So now I'm on the hunt for one. If you know of any for sale, please let me know via Private Message.
Meanwhile, I will be reading up on all the beautiful bikes here, soaking up the knowledge. the pit falls, the things to look out for when buying one.
Anyway, thanks for reading my intro. see you...

Welcome aboard the forum Phill from southern NH. I used to live in Oceanside.
Check with Kurt Jordan in Oceanside, Jordan Engineering.  He occasionally restores 400/4s.
I know of a couple or red 76s, out here in NH though.

Do you know Kurt? He's been in the bike business from the late 60s, worked for Action Fours in the 70s, raced and tested builds as well as built many race bikes.

Thanks for the lead. Boy that is a nice one! A bit too pricy for me, gotta pay tax on top of that too.
Would prefer a private party bike.  But they are getting pretty hard to find.
I did place a want ad, well see...

Welcome to the fun, I hope you find a great bike here!
I used to live in Manhattan Beach. Before that it was in Sacramento.
See SOHC4shop.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

Blood is thicker than water, but motor oil is thicker yet...so, don't mess with my SOHC4, or I might have to hurt you.
