My dog Charlie
« on: April 18, 2025, 05:58:18 AM »
This is my dog Charlie. He is a retired PTSD dog.  He has been a pet for about 5 years. We got him about a month ago and he has been a God send.

I had an adverse reaction to my ADHD meds and while it could of been much worse, this guy kept me grounded. I am off my ADHD meds and am back to normal now for the past 5 days. Other than brain fog and lack of energy but that being said each day off the meds I am getting better.

Charlie has and is been such a blessing.

He is an Australian Shepard mix.

So much truth there and that is exactly how the last couple of months have been going. Thank you

Beautiful animal; is that breed also known as Blue Heeler?
Maybe Blue Healer in Charlie's case.

I think Blue Healer are a separate breed. His exact breed is a mystery so I guess it is possible.

Blue and red heelers are cattle dogs. They are very smart, tough and top notch watch dogs. Very territorial and will try to bite you in the heels to herd you out of their space, that's how they get the cows to move. Mine tries to herd rabbits, squirrels, people, birds, airplanes and anything else that moves.

Charlie is a herding dog for sure. He has a hard time with the boys playing on the playground while I have him on the leash. He wants to be rounding them up, LOL.

The previous owners had chickens and he would herd them into the hen house come night time.
