I have a great home for that ducktail seat - on my K2  8)

I might have a K2 seat that needs a cover..

I sanded(a little bit of rust was evident) the K0 seat pan, primed and top coated it with semi gloss Duplicolor black. It looks much better.
I found why it had only red foam in the center holes, someone else has been in and cut out the sides and put in yellow foam and probably a new cover...it will do for a rider seat.
I cleaned the cover up with some old furniture cleaner and rubbed in a couple coatings of Back to Black (Maguires) and buffed it out.

I also have seats with mixed red and yellow foam, I think the red silicone-based foam cost more and it was phased out gradually. The more I knew about these bikes the more I see they were building as many bikes as possible with whatever they could find for materials. There were even stories of employees being given cash and sent out on nut and bolt buying safari's.
