New/Old Honda guy
« on: August 07, 2025, 09:04:11 AM »
I thought I was a memeber here already, years ago... but could not remember my login :D
Also long-time member at hondatwins, nakedgoldwings, and others.

I've owned over 50 Hondas in the last ~25 years... mostly late 60's to early 80's models. I've owned 3 SOHC CB750K's, 73,74, 76. Several DOHC F and C models. Lots of CB/CL 350's, GL's, VF's... a few CM models, CB200T, CB400T, CL360, etc etc etc. My current daily riders are a 78 GL1000 and 07 ST1300.

My club recently built a '76 CB500F "cafe racer" that we put a lot of work into... including rewiring the harness a bit to update to mini gauges and better charging system. We're raffling it off for charity if you care to check it out: tonupclubchicago.com

I'll attach a few pics plus the modified wiring diagram I drew up.
