Well I ordered a 28mm (in transit) “by accident”the first time because I ordered the jet that matched my measurements from the jets that came out of the carb.
After ordering, I found that JetsRus had a specific page for the 76’ 550f and I ordered that without checking sizing and it has arrived. That the is 32mm that you’ve linked to. But all of the other slow jets that came with the bike are 28mm. I have 7 jets that came with the bike 3 are genuine Keihin. I just don’t know if the 7 I got from the previous owner were all wrong and I need 32mm or if JetsRus is wrong in saying the 76’ Cb550f needs 32mm??

28mm. That's what is in both my sets of 550F carbs, 069A. Not the original owner so I can't be sure that's how they came, but they are original Keihin jets and it'd be too much of a coincidence to have three sets of carbs with incorrect jets.

Not sure why Jets-r-Us has 32mm. Maybe someone else will chime in. Can you post a photo of the 32mm one? The one on the website looks like the top part is the same length and it just sits deeper in the float bowl...

I’ve not got the jets with me I will get you all photos tonight, but the bottom part of the jet is what is longer. The threads and jet itself are the same if lined up by the bottom of the threads. Also, the jet holes of the 32mm are different. They are smaller, but it has another hole drilled in it.

Don't imagine the jet sitting deeper would cause any issues, just sipping more deeply from the bowl, and may make it easier to start if the bike's been sitting and the bowls need to fill. Someone who knows better might correct me. But I'd be worried about the different holes for sure...

Fixed that for ya.

It's a head scratcher, seems JetRus made an error?
