Spoke allignment after relacing wheel.
« on: August 13, 2025, 01:09:39 PM »
I tried relacing my wheels tonight, but i end up with some allignment issues on the innside of the hub(outer spoke).
I followed the how to on the forum and the spokes seems to be in the right place, where the outer spoke crosses the inner spoke three times, and the angle on the dimples looks very right, but the spoke will not seat properly in the hub inside. The spokes and wheels where bought from 4into1 some years ago and are not original.

Do i true it and run it, or do i order new spokes or rims  ?

Possibly, have you got the inner and outer spokes confused?

From memory, your hub looks a bit different to mine ((a stock Honda hub), yours doesn't seem to have as much chamfer angle to it, but I'm not near my bike to directly compare.

I bought some spokes from 4into1 several years ago and as I recall, they were bent incorrectly.  I notified 4into1 and they refunded me and I believe they worked to correct the issue.  So, you may have gotten a bad batch like I did.  Check the angle of the bends with genuine Honda spokes and see if they match.  I have found the spokes sold by David Silver Spares are excellent quality, so consider buying new spokes from them and give it another try.
