I'm thinking about buying a Guiliari seat.  Another one for sale looks to be in reasonably good condition and decent price.  According to the seller it is for a Honda CB750 K2-K6.   I am very happy with my K1 stock  seat and not swapping it out. If I buy a Guiliari seat it will be for a future project.  Stockpiling  ;D

Here is the questionable Guiliari seat  ???  No stenciling but looks like an original seat cover. Metal pan is definitely original.   Seller says it is for a Honda CB750 K2 - K6 but I'm not so sure.  The single long hinge on the pan on the underside (please see the last photo) does not look like it matches the 2 smaller hinges on the Honda CB750?

Late Edit:  spa stands for Società per azioni. It is a legal designation in Italy that translates to "joint-stock company" or "corporation" in English

Just looked at my o.g. Giuliari seat.  Ir has that same stamp on the bottom.  Mine has 2 small hinges like you would expect for a cb750.
If it works good, it looks good...

It looks like a 750 super sport hinge too.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

You could remove that hinge, make a pattern, and apply some nutserts in the proper locations for the double hinges. Some aftermarket seats were set up for multiple years and models, that one doesn't appear to be.

After checking measurements I believe it is very possible that the seat is from a CB550.  Length and location of the single long hinge match my CB550 seat.  Length of the seat  is 26 1/5 inches (measured at the bottom) also match.  I went ahead and bought the seat  :) The seat on my CB550 has been recovered in plain vinyl (no pattern) by the previous owner and it looks OK but IMO it's boxy and boring.  Not exactly sure if the Giuliari Seat will fit but it's worth giving it a try.

Another CB500 with Giuliari Seat.  Strange I can't find any seats with 550 stenciling. Quessing that the 500 and 550 are the same seat.   Has anyone seen a Giuliari CB550 Seat?

You will have to remove the seat grab rail for the Guliari to open and close.

Yes.  Really a shame as I recently bought the rear grab rail.  Now I need the house shaped turn signals mounts.  Plenty of rear mounting sets on eBay for $20.

Giuliari CB550 seat.  Notice the bottom trim is shorter and does not extend to the full length of the seat.  Also the shape of the hump looks like it might be slightly different between this 550 seat and the 500 seats (a little more flat and less pointed/cone shaped at the top)??   Hard to tell but the hinge looks similar to the seat I just bought.  This seat has a Giuliari tag sewn in (quessing a later production).

Giuliari seat arrived today from Europe.  Very quick shipping.  I did not have the chance to open the package today but hope to get to it tomorrow.  I'm going to try it on the CB550 first thing in the morning.  It only took 5 minutes to take the CB550 seat off by removing the pins.

More photos - Giuliari Seat placed loosely on the frame.  Unfortunately the seat hinge and latch pins do not line up with the CB550 frame - off about 1cm :(

Looks good on the bike, can it be modified to fit?

Thanks Mate.  Here is a photo of the seat with the hinge aligned with the mount on the frame.  Length of the hinge matches the mount perfectly but is too far down the seat pan by about 1 cm (gap showing in the front).  In order to get the seat to fit I am quessing I would need to cut out the hinge on the pan and then reweld it in the correct position.

Late Edit:  The foam in the seat is surprisingly in very good shape.  Not hard or crumbling.  Very heavy and looks and feels like high density latex.
