When i reve the motor the tach indicator sticks, at about 4000 RPM's. I can tap on the tach and it will come back down to zero. Irritating for sure.

...stored in the wrong position, the oil leaked and glued the mechanic, it reaches the sticky/glued point at 4000 rpm or You just have some dirt inside thats blocking the mechanic but I think its gummed up.
