Where do you attach the springs to the body of the bike.  I see no logical place for them to attach.

There is a C shaped part that connects the spring to a hook on the frame
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Are you using the C hook to attach the spring to?

#2 plate seems to be available still from Honda, possibly.  I suggest you call South Sound Honda in Washington state later when they open to see if it is available.
It's only $4 plus shipping(depending where you are)

The plate can be gotten off ebay but at high price!

It has the same part numbers as the CB750 so there should be plenty used available. I'm on a road trip for a month or I'd check my stash of parts.

C hook for the center stand on a 1977
honda 550f.

Where do u attach the c hook?  I see a place above the center stand but there is a hook but only one on the bike.  The other hole on the c hook..... is that where the springs attach to?

Thanks in advance.

Be sure to get the brake pivot in position before the swingarm is in place.

Center s/and om cb550f

Haven't gotten the c hook ang springs on yet I  do that today,  but in ]putting on the center stand, I put the "enter stand in place and then hammered in the bar from the left side., put the two retaining bolts on and tighten them down.  Then I had a funky right side plug , about two inches long with a plumber fitting on one end to hammer in.  I couldn't get it to stay.  Now, I took it off and not using it at all.  Seems to. Be perfectly fine without it..what. do you think, is  that  ok?

Next, c hook and spring
